I had an opportunity to try out some new games for preschoolers for my iPod Touch. They are from a company called Tickle Tap Apps. Currently they have 4 apps that are for preschool aged children (3-5 years old) . I have 4 1/2 year old and a 17 month old. They both love our iPod touch. My 4 year old is constantly asking if he can buy another app!
They have the following Apps available:
I was given the option to choose 2 Apps. I picked Sound Shaker and Count Caddy. My 4 year old was so excited to get 2 new games.
He really liked the Sound Shaker App. They have 6 options that play different sounds. You choose the sound you want and when you touch the screen a ball appears. As you press the screen the sound changes. Then it becomes an egg and it cracks and out comes a chick. My son loved that. You can also shake the iPod and it will make music. It really is a cute game. It is very easy to use and I think that any preschooler would love it! My 17 month old also loves the Sound Shaker App. He would get so excited to hear the sounds change. He still a little too young to use the iPod Touch. I would recommend this App to anyone with young children.
We were also able to try Count Caddy. It was a good game. You help a kitty move balls of yarn and it teaches you how to count. My 4 1/2 year old got a little bored with it because he already knows how to count pretty well. I would recommend this for children who have not learned how to count yet.
Overall I think that these are awesome Apps for preschool children. They are a lot of fun and educational. They are also a good deal at $1.99 for each App. If you have a preschooler who enjoys using your iPod or iPhone these are excellent Apps to buy for your kids!
