Can you believe that Christmas is just over 3 months away! Last year I did 95% of my Christmas shopping online. The sales were awesome! Last year I had save about $100 in Amazon gift cards that I earned through Swagbucks!

Amazon had really great deals last year. Amazon always offers free shipping when you spend $25 or more. Although if you are a parent, grandparent, or caregiver you can sign up for Amazon Mom. It is a FREE program to join that offers amazing discounts on baby products. When you sign up you will get 3 months FREE of Amazon Prime! With Amazon prime you get FREE 2-day shipping regardless of the total! Then for every $25 you spend on baby stuff you will get another FREE month! (You do not need to worry about canceling your Prime Membership – it’s not a trial, it’s more of a gift!) Anyway I have digressed!

So Swagbucks – this is a search engine just like Google or Yahoo. You search for things and you can earn Swagbucks. You can trade your Swagbucks for prizes. My favorite is a $5 Amazon gift card for 450 Swagbucks. There are many ways to earn Swagbucks. Almost daily you can find a special Swagcode in their blog posts, their toolbar, or widget. (I PROMISE this is very simple!) If you download their toolbar it makes it very east to search for stuff. Otherwise make Swagbucks your home page.

Other ways to earn are with their Special Offers and shopping*. Look under the “Ways to Earn” tab at the top of the Swagbucks home page. You will also earn more Swagbucks when you refer your friend! They also give you 50 Swagbucks for your birthday! Plus you get 30 Swagbucks just for joining!!

So if you want a little extra money for Christmas shopping – just try Swagbucks! You not going to earn a ton of money but it’s a pretty effortless way to get a GREAT FREEBIE!!

My husband is sometimes a technology geek. Sometimes he comes across things that actually save us money! He is a member or Foursquare. It’s an app that allows you to log in and “check in” at certain locations.

When we were out the other day he checked into The Sports Authority. He then got a message that after every 2 visits he would get a code for $10 instant cash! There was no minimum!! It did say some restrictions apply but did not give any details. We bought a shirt that was on sale from $16.99 and only paid $3.50!

If you visit a place frequently you can become the Mayor! It seems silly to me – but I will do it to save money!
