Viggle is a new app for your iPhone or iPod that rewards you with points when you check into your favorite show on TV! (It also works on your iPad – they are working on an Android app.)
**2/17 update – they seem to be having some problems with the trivia and videos you can watch for extra points – they promise it will be back up soon. They now also have CVS gift cards
How it works:
- You get the free Viggle app at the iTunes store
- There are 3 buttons on the bottom – What’s on, Check-in and Rewards.
- When you turn on your show you click “Check in” and your i – device will listen and check you into the program you are watching. Confirm your check in.
- Go to and set reminders for “featured” shows and get bonus points.
- Click those shows and you will see options to earn points by answering questions and watching videos! (Then slide through all the shows for more points.
The points will add up fast!
- You get 1,500 points when you join.
- You can get 15-30 points every time you answer a trivia question
- You can get up to 100 points for watching a video
- You get 2 points per minute – 3o minute show = 60 points. It it’s a featured show you can get a bonus of 200-400 points!
We checked in a few times yesterday and answered questions and watched videos and had over 5,000 points after 1 day! (We really did not watch TV all day – you get a lot more points with the bonus options.) I heard some people earned over 7,000 points just while watching the Grammy’s!
They have $5 Amazon gift cards for 3800 points (not currently available) , $5 Target or Starbucks gift card 7,500 points and more options. Every day they have a deal on a reward.
*You need to have a microphone so Viggle can hear the program. Older iPods do not have a mic – you could buy a mic at your local store.
Thanks, Hip2Save!
