Turkey BLTSandwich

This week is already Thanksgiving! In my family, we buy the biggest turkey we can get our hands on. Most of the time our turkey is close to 30 pounds. We usually have (at most) 20 people at Thanksgiving dinner – so we have a lot of leftovers. For some reason, I don’t like the taste of reheated turkey. (Please tell me I am not the only one!) So I will reheat my favorite leftover dishes, minus the turkey, and enjoy dinner again.

I love Thanksgiving dinner. Our family always stuffs the bird with 2 stuffings. We have sausage stuffing and oatmeal stuffing. Plus we have sweet potatoes, a few veggies, mashed potatoes, and a ton of gravy. My mom makes the best pan gravy and we usually don’t have a ton of gravy left over.

So if I don’t have gravy – I can’t eat all my leftovers. So we need to get creative and use up the ingredients. A quick and easy way to re-create a meal with leftover turkey is to throw together some Turkey BLT Sandwiches. You spend so much time making the Thanksgiving meal, you should get a few days off in the kitchen. Plus we make sure to have some paper plates available because I am also done with washing dishes!

Turkey BLT’s are really easy to throw together. You probably have most of the ingredients in your house. And if you don’t pick them up at the store. For just a few bucks more you will have a whole new and different meal for your family.

Turkey BLT Sandwich

  • Leftover turkey, sliced
  • Your favorite sandwich bread
  • Kraft cheese slices
  • Kraft Ranch Dressing
  • Kraft Mayo
  • Lettuce
  • Bacon
  • Tomatoes
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Get out all your ingredients. Cook up the bacon and set aside. Chop up and clean the lettuce and tomatoes and set aside.
  2. Now to assemble your sandwich! On the first layer of bread add some Kraft Mayo, then lettuce, tomato, turkey, cheese, salt, pepper, and bacon. Then spread some Ranch dressing on the top slice of bread. Serve with some chips and enjoy! This would also be delicious with a bowl of fruit salad!

I love to use the Ranch dressing and the Kraft mayo to make the sandwich really tasty!
