I always have a hard time trying to find a good vacation location. I can across some information about taking a trip to Central New Jersey . It’s not really the first place that comes to mind when you think about a vacation. But it has a variety of things to do, places to see, and places to eat. I have never been to Central New Jersey, but after reading about it, it is a place I would like to visit.

They have something for everyone in your family. If you like the theater, you can visit the State Theater. If you have children they have an many places for them to play. Bowcraft Playland looks amazing!  With three kids, it’s important for me to find a vacation spot that is kid – friendly!

Does anyone in your family like to golf? If so, they can visit Forsgate Country Club. This place was voted one of New Jersey’s best golf courses. Some of the museums you can visit include the Jane Vorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, Edison Memorial Tower and Menlo Park Museum, or the East Brunswick Museum.

You can find just about anything you want to eat in New Jersey.  There is a huge selection of restaurants in Central New Jersey. They have everything from American food to Ethiopian, to French to Thai foods. I am sure you will come across something new to try!

I can’t check out a website without finding some deals. If you want to see a show you can get 25% off tickets to shows at the State Theatre in downtown New Brunswick.

You should also be able to find a great place to stay. Central New Jersey has 7500 hotel rooms in over 50 hotels! You can stay at a Raddison, Hyatt, Crowne Plaze, Holiday Inn, or many other hotels!

Yesterday I shared this on my Facebook page but I thought I would share it with all my readers and hear what you think.

The COO of JCPenny Michael Kramer said this about couponing. “We’ve got to wean them off this (using coupons) and educate our consumers.”

Is he kidding?? Wean us off and educate us. We use coupons to save money. The prices at the new JCPenny are not better than they were before with coupons. I would go in JCPenny with a $10 off $25 coupon and get a few things. Now you are luck if you can get 2 things for $25 at JCPenny.

Sure they have new designers and they say that their prices are as low as they can be, but I don’t see it. In the past, I could go in there and get my husband a pair of shorts for $10 or an outfit for my kids for $10. I just don’t feel like I am getting a better deal with a coupon – I KNOW I can getting a better deal with a coupon! I do most of my shopping at Kohls because many times during the year I can get an extra 30% off everything I buy.

I think he needs to be educated about coupons – how it helps us stretch our dollars. When was the last time he used a coupon?

On a side note – I hated those commercials with the people screaming when they missed a sale or coupon.

I love Cheesecakes but I can never make the perfect cheesecake. Christmas and Thanksgiving have apple pies and pumpkin pies, but there is no “official” pie for Easter. I think that a cheesecakes is the perfect pie for Easter.
