There are so many times during the day I see a great deal advertised on Amazon. They show the list price and their price and the percentage difference.
For example, yesterday’s Amazon’s Gold Box Deal was a Scotch Thermal Laminator priced at just $16.99 (ARV $80.49).
So I went to Camel, Camel, Camel – this website tracks the prices of stuff at Amazon and other retailers. You can enter the product or just enter the URL and it will show you the prices over a period of time.
While the price of $16.99 was a great deal, today it’s $19.99. The highest price it has ever been was $59.99, but has been mostly in the mid-$30’s. The AVR of $80.49 is very high, so it looks like you are getting a better deal.
So if you want to see if something has been cheaper at Amazon, check out Camel, Camel, Camel. I like to make sure the price I’m paying is the best price that has been available.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Amazon and they do have awesome prices and great shipping options!! This is just a tool to make sure you are getting the best deal!
