My husband loves BBQ foods but I am not that big a fan. So I have been trying some recipes at home and we have really enjoyed them. This recipe will be part of my newest set of recipes from the series Part 6 – 1 Hour + 1 Mess = 5 Crock Meals. (Here are all 25 of my crock pot freezer meals.)
I had planned to make these as chicken sandwiches but I managed to misplace the the buns. Have you even done that? I put the box they were in outside because they had fruit flies in it from bananas. I managed to find the buns 3 days later 🙂 I did have a ton of hot dog buns (thanks to Costco) so I figured, why not?
At first my kids thought it was weird but I told them there was not rule saying you can’t have sandwiches in hot dog buns! We had a good laugh!

Do you think this could be frozen ahead of time?

Yeah you can throw all the ingredients in a freezer bag to be cooked at a later date. This is a recipe form my next crock pot freezer series.
