I hate diets! I just love to bake and try new recipes – so I love to eat. I don’t have an addiction but if it is there, I hate to let it go to waste. I always told myself that I didn’t want to lose all my pregnancy weight until I was done having babies. I just thought it would be really hard to lose the weight and gain it and then lose it again.

Well, I have been done having babies for about 4 years now, so I decided I needed to change some things to get in shape. I want to set a healthy example for my kids and maintain a healthy weight so I don’t have any medical issues to deal with.

This year, I have managed to lose about 20 pounds and I was only about 5 pounds from my ideal weight. But then we took an extended vacation this summer and I gained back 5 pounds.  Now I am trying to cut back as much as I can so I can reach my goal weight.

3 Tips To Cut Back On My Calories:

I don’t drink coffee, but I love Coke! When I need a caffeine pick me up, I grab a Coke. It’s not only good to “wake me up” – it just tastes good with so many foods! So the first thing I have decided to do is say NO to Coke. I really like water, but it is really going to be difficult when we go out to eat or I am feeling sluggish! In the long run it will be worth it.

I need to cut back on the desserts. More than a few times a week, I bake something. I may see something online and I really want to try it. I will allow myself to eat some of the dessert, but then I will offer it to my friends and family so it is not tempting me all the time.

Everyday I eat a sandwich for lunch. It is quick, easy, and cheap! So from now on I will be using Sara Lee® Delightful Bread. Delightful™ bread. It gives you the taste and texture I love, but with just 45 calories per full-size slice (serving size two slices 90 calories). I can enjoy 100% Whole Wheat (made with real honey), Healthy Multi-Grain and Wheat. They also just added Oatmeal – which I am very excited to try!

I try really hard to keep my carbs in check for medical reasons. But, I can't help but have a good piece of bread every now and then. I love Sara Lee products and think its great that she has a low calorie bread option!
