Once you get through potty training it seems like it should be easy. No more accidents – but that isn’t always true. My first born was potty trained pretty easily. He would stay completely dry all day but nighttime was a different story. A few times a week he would wet the bed. We would try everything like limiting his drinks before bedtime and waking him up before I went to bed, but nothing would work.

My second child was potty trained in 2 days and never had an accident. My youngest was also pretty easy. She potty trained pretty quickly, but she would have a few accidents a week at night. She went for a long time without wetting her bed but then we made a major move. Since then she has had a few nights where she has wet the bed.

All 3 of my kids had different experiences when it came to bedwetting. And through it all I made sure that I never made them feel bad. I never wanted to hinder their confidence.

Bedwetting affects 1 out of 6 kids. Seventy-two precent of kids who wet the bed will outgrow it by the time they’re 11. I knew it was normal, but it was an issue that made my kids feel embarrassed.

Since my daughter started to wet the bed again, I wanted to pick something up for her to feel comfortable at night. Before we were moving from Florida to Kentucky we were staying with family and sleeping in hotels, so I didn’t want her to feel bad if she had an accident. I was in CVS and I saw GoodNites TruFit Starter Pack. They are washable underwear with removable absorbent inserts.

GoodNites TruFit is a genius idea. It is not a diaper – so it is more comfortable for her. She can go to bed in underwear and not feel any different.  The starter pack contains 2 pairs of cute underwear and 5 disposable inserts.  They have a set for girls and a set for boys. Your child can feel confident that their pajamas will stay dry all night long.

Goodnights Tru-Fit also help my daughter get a better nights sleep. If she wets the bed at night, she can just change her underwear and go back to bed in her own bed. We don’t have to worry about changing sheets in the middle of the night or putting her in bed with me.

If you have a child that wets the bed – you will get through it. No one likes to be woken up in the middle of the night to change wet clothes and sheets. The most helpful thing you can do for your child is to be supportive. Help them understand that it’s not their fault.

As your child gets older, they may feel embarrassed about their bedwetting, so it’s important to offer love and unconditional care. I am glad we have GoodNites Tru-Fit underwear. I wish we had them when my oldest son had these accidents. They would have really helped with his confidence.

Just remember – bedwetting is a very normal thing and nothing that can be “fixed”; it must be outgrown.

My friend just started using Goodnites for her daughter. they have been great so far. Mom loves it because there is no wet bed to change in the middle of the night.
