My kids don’t play with a lot of toys. They play video games, they like to read, and they love to do anything artistic. So when I told them we were going to be getting a package containing Qixels they did a happy dance! My kids have seen these commercials on TV many times and it was something they had asked for.
I love this toy because it helps them to be creative and use their imagination. The set comes with templates so that they can create many different designs. But my kids had fun free styling and creating unique things. My oldest son even created a Qixel of Arlo from the Good Dinosaur for me to take on my trip to Los Angeles. (I think he did a pretty great job!)
The kit comes with different colored cubes and templates. You match the color on the template with the cubes and create your design. Then you spray it with water and dry it in the Turbo Dryer. The Turbo Dryer is a great addition to the Qixels cubes. It will fuse the designs in half the time! Kids can lay the Qixels out on the Fuser station, spray with water and close the lid. They’ll have a blast pressing the plunger with high-speed action to set the station spinning, air drying the Qixels in record time!
It’s that simple and fun! My kids spent almost a whole Saturday playing with Qixels!
With Qixels your kids can bring to life their 8 bit pixel world of monsters, warriors, ninjas and more, all while stepping away from screens. Qixels line is appropriate for ages five and up and is available at mass retailers now! They cost between $9.99 – $19.99.
My kids love this so much that they will be receiving more Qixels for Christmas! It’s a great activity for them to play when it’s cold outside that doesn’t involve electronics! If you re looking for a great gift that will help your child to create instead of stare at the TV – this is a toy that must be on your holiday list!

My son loves toys that requires building and creating. This would be a fun Christmas present that he would be able to play with all through the year.
