Do you have days during the week where you are constantly on the go? My Tuesdays are like that. My kids get home from school and we get as much homework done as possible. Then, my boys have 2 different activities on opposite sides of town. My husband works 30 minutes away so  I meet my husband so he can take one son to his event and I take our other son to baseball practice.

If you have days like this, I have a great tip that is really going to help dinnertime. 

Every week I create a meal plan with my weekly activities in mind. I usually pick 5 dinners to make each week. Some will be quick and easy meals, others are slow cooker meals, and if I think I will have time, we have a nice dinner (like lasagna or a roast). I know on Tuesdays nights, I need to make a slow cooker meal if we are going to have a good dinner. I throw the ingredients in the slow cooker around lunch time and we have a perfect meal waiting for us when we get home. 

For example, some days I get home around 4pm, so I know I can make a meal and get it on the table at a decent time. Other nights we have a community group at our house, so I pick a meal that will be easy to clean up. Meal planning is great to help you grocery shop, but it can also be a sanity saver when you are trying to juggle all your responsibilities each week.

On the days that we have a late dinner, we need some snacks to hold us over until we get home. When I am at Walmart I grab LALA® Yogurt Smoothies. Sometimes when my kids are doing their homework, I make them smoothies with some extra fruits and vegetables. These smoothies have carrots in them and my kids don’t have a clue. LALA® Yogurt Smoothies are delicious by themselves and they are made with real fruit. But it is also fun to whip it up in a blender and add some new flavors.

LALA® Pineapple Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie

  • 1 7oz. bottle of  LALA® Yogurt Strawberry Smoothies
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 carrot peeled and finely shredded
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. In a blender combine all the ingredients. Serve with a straw and enjoy.

This smoothie is a great source of calcium and protein. Enjoy it on the go or at home.

I think you have a wonderful meal plan that sounds very much healthy. I love anything that is done with Yogurt & one such smoothie with the combination of pineapple chunks & the Lala strawberry Yogurt smoothie will be a great recipe to try out.

Serving healthy and nutritious snacks like that during the day is smart! Kids are picky so when you find something they like, you stick with it!
