It’s way too easy to let our kids play video games for hours. Some days I get so busy with work and all the other things that go with being a mom, I realize I haven’t had much time with my kids and they have probably spent most of that time staring at an electronic device!
I need my kids to play with each other and their friends offline. I want them to be kids and know the joy I had of spending hours at my friend’s house just haging out and playing games.
We have tried to do a Family Game night and that has worked out well. We have a great time playing games together but we often run into two problems. First, some games take forever to play. My kids get board or if someone loses early they don’t like to just watch the rest of us. Or the games are not age appropriate for all my kids.
This week we received 3 games and my kids loved them. My 2 youngest kids played Mohawkz for a while when they got home from school on Friday. My son was even singing about how much fun it was to play. On a side note – anytime these 2 siblings play together it’s a miracle. They are those kids that just can’t get along! And Mohawkz brought them together and they played nicely!
When my older son got home he also wanted to join in on the fun. They also decided to try out Lumpy Cubes and Turtle Flip. They truly had so much fun and they didn’t fight the whole time. The games were very easy to understand, well made, and lots of fun. I know these will be at the top of their favorite games for a long time.
Here is more information about the board games:
Mohawkz
Bounce your balls, one at a time, toward the target. Bounce best and you win! For fun competition, take the challenge solo or as a team. Play Mohawkz anywhere you want to bounce, fly, and score!
Lumpy Cubes
It is a quick-play stacking game designed to improve your memory, reaction time, and motor skills. The unique feature of this game is that each patterned challenge card has only one way to be correctly stacked. If you find it and stack it first you win!
Turtle Flip
All players are part of the action in this fast-paced card game of left, right, flippin’ fun! The game is a classic memory game with the twist. It helps kids learn left from right and the value of numbers. The object of the game is to win FLIP tokens by playing high numbered cards. It is like a game of hot potato or musical chairs. The player left with the best card when they stop moving wins!
About RoosterFin games:
RoosterFin games are family-friendly educational games created by former math teacher, Joe RoosterFin. Joe’s games are simple to learn and fun to play with the whole family at your next family game night, BBQ, or birthday party. They also make great gifts for the holidays.
My kids had a blast playing these games. I love them because they were so easy to play and we didn’t have a million pieces to clean up. The kids could get it all set up without my help and even play on their own. I know we are going to enjoy many hours of game time.
This holiday season, buy something that doesn’t require batteries. Enjoy a family game night together with these fun board games for kids and adults. No one will miss their electronic devices, I promise!
