Stay Fit and Healthy This Holiday Season ~ Day 8 (12 Days Of Tips)

Sharing is caring!

day-6-2

You don’t have to wait until January 1, to make changes to the way you eat! My friends  Ilyse Schapiro and Hallie Rich have been sharing tips to help you make better food choices during the holidays. They always have such simple yet helpful tips to help you make healthier food choices. And right now, during the holidays. it can be hard to make better choices!

Together they have written a very helpful book, Should I Scoop Out My Bagel, about diet and nutrition.  This book has 99 easy to read chapter that answer some of your questions about how to eat healthy and how to make better choices. It’s very informative! It’s also a very easy book to read – it gives you simple and usable advice!

You can still have oodles of noodles:

While regular white pasta is always delicious, it’s not the most nutritious.  So, instead try quinoa, kaniwa, farro, or noodles made from soba. These tend to be high in nutrients, protein and/or fiber.  If you are watching your carb intake spaghetti squash and zucchini noodles are a great choice!

You’d be surprised how it is hard to tell the difference… except perhaps it may make a dish heartier, but people may even like that better!

Got a question? Leave me a comment and Hallie and Ilyse can answer it for you! And if you want an easy book to read about diet and nutrition, order Should I Scoop Out My Bagel at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Come back tomorrow for another helpful health tip! Click here to read previous tips.
