Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and my kids have taken over my blog to share some fun tips with you to help make Mother’s Day more fun! They have come up with a delicious and pink snack mix, paired it with refreshing Tampico punch—which has a brand new look but is irresistible as ever—and gave me a few minutes outside to enjoy the nice weather, read a magazine, do my nails, and enjoy my snack!

It doesn’t take a lot to make mom feel special. She knows you love her, but it’s nice to do something special and out of the ordinary for her to make her feel appreciated.

Spring is the perfect time to relax outside. So setting up an outdoor oasis for our mom is what we wanted to do for her for Mother’s Day. We wanted to make her a snack with a refreshing drink, and it had to be all pink since that’s her favorite color.

Tampico Punch was the perfect match for the outdoor oasis because of its yummy tropical flavor and of course pink color!  She loves to sit outside in our backyard and enjoy the weather. Mom always has time to do my nails, so I also picked out her favorite color and painted her nails.

How To Create An Outdoor Oasis:

  • Find a comfortable chair for mom to enjoy in the backyard. You can add an umbrella too if you want to block the sun.
  • Pick out her favorite nail polish. Make sure you have a paper towel to clean up any mess you make.
  • Find her favorite magazine or book for her to read.

Mother's Day Back Yard Oasis + Unicorn Snack Mix

We had so much fun making this super pink, unicorn snack mix. You can switch it up and add anything pink.

Unicorn Snack Mix

  • 1 1/2 cup pink mini marshmallows
  • 2 cups of frosted animal crackers
  • 1 cup of rice cereal squares
  • 12 pink wafer cookies
  • 1/2 Macadamia nuts
  • 3/4 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of pink chocolate-covered balls

Instructions:

Grab a large bowl and a cutting board. You will probably not be able to find pink marshmallows so you will need to buy a variety pack of colorful marshmallows. Pick out all the pink ones and add them to your mixing bowl. (It’s ok if you sample a few of the other colors.)

Break the animal crackers in half, break the pink wafer cookies in half and then in half again, chop up the macadamia nuts and add them all to the mixing bowl with the white chocolate chips, rice cereal squares, and pink chocolate covered balls.

I’m so excited my kids had a chance to share a fun way to pamper Moms this Mother’s Day. I love when my kids take a moment to make me feel special.

This Unicorn Snack Mix is perfect for a birthday party. It's so easy to make and kids love it! This is a fun food that you could add to goodie bags.

This recipe jumped out at me when I went to Tasty Tuesday's Link Party. I am so glad that I went to your blog to read the post. I love, love, love this post. It really is true, moms don't need a lot, but it is nice when someone goes out of their way to do something to make her feel special. Give you daughter a big hug for me.

I've been planning a nice 'oasis' for our yard. I need a beautiful, serene, sitting area where I can get outside, enjoy our hundreds of songbirds and read or just watch nature. I'm in the middle of the country so it's a matter of finding my spot... Maybe in the middle of the apple orchard... or by my favorite flower beds and Japanese maple.. I have 4+ acres, I should be able to figure it out! Lol!
