Homemade Apple Pumpkin Dog Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 apples, chopped and finely diced
- 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of water
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients together until they are thoroughly mixed and the mixture is dough like.
- On a large surface, roll the dough out flat and use a dog bone cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
- Place the dog bones on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let completely cool.
Next time I need to make a dog treat that has peanut butter. My dog can instantly sniff when w jar of peanut butter is opened in our house.

This would be a good gift for someone who has a dog. You could make a bunch for and give them out for Christmas treats to dog owners you know.

Hi! It’s been so long since I have made these, I can’t remember. I am so sorry I didnt add this information when I published it. I will try to make them in the new year and update the recipe.
I think that baking powder is bad for dogs, can you make them without that?
Thanks for your comment. I did check and PetMd says: Baking soda contains no harmful chemicals and poses no danger to children or pets unless it is ingested in large amounts. Always consult your veterinarian before using baking soda on your pet.
I guess large amounts would depend on the size of your dog. 🙂
