Healthy And Active First Date Ideas

With the world shifting towards a more healthier lifestyle, it is only natural that active date ideas are on the rise of popularity. Every time you go out with someone for the first time, you ask the usual first date questions

What are the most exciting active date ideas? We hope you get some good ideas from this blog post. Here is our list of some of the most exciting, active, and even frugal ideas for dates.

1. Take a Zumba class together

And the first one on our list is Zumba. For those of you unaware, Zumba is a type of fitness program that resembles a Latin dance. And no wonder as it was developed by Alberto Perez, a professional dancer from Colombia. Now before you complain that your moves aren’t up to snuff, the whole process is enjoyable and requires little to no dancing skills. Couple all this with fantastic music, hot moves, and you got your self a recipe for a successful date.

2. Jog or run around the park

Next on our list is jog or run around the park. While simple in nature, you have no idea how fun it can be, especially if you throw a friendly competition into the mix. Whether it’s a time challenge or a marathon, you are bound to have a great time. You can also bring your dog to make things even more enjoyable. Who doesn’t like dogs?

3. Climb a mountain

This might seem like overkill, and to some degree, it is. We suggest that you pick a mountain that is not humongous in height and has a beautiful climbing path. That way, you will ensure that both of you manage to conquer it, and the hike is fun and challenging at the same time. By the end of the climb, you will not only feel fulfilled but become more connected with one another as you will have overcome something massive.

4. Take a yoga class together

Next on our active dates list is taking a yoga class. While it’s not as exciting and challenging as the previous option, you can have a nice time meditating and stretching your body. Yoga is more of a soul thing, and this is precisely what you want on a date. Both of you will be active and will be able to learn about each other faster since you won’t be super focused on finishing the workout. Indeed, yoga can help you become more connected. So, put on some relaxing music, light up aroma sticks, and you are good to go.

5. Go snorkeling

Depending on the location, snorkeling is one of those activities that is dependant on the weather and climate condition. Generally speaking, snorkeling is a type of sport that requires you to swim on top of the water wearing a mask with a tube (or more appropriate, snorkel). If it’s freezing outside, snorkeling will sound like a disaster. But if you live in a warm region, this is a fun idea as you are bound to have a great time. Not only you get to work out your body, but also you get to see some amazing things while you’re at it.

6. Play “Just Dance”

Playing Just Dance is one of the most underrated active date ideas on the planet. You get to hear fun music (especially in the newer versions of the game), try out awesome moves, and the best part of it, work out your body. On this date, you don’t have to wait for good weather conditions or go to a special place. All you have to do is boot up the game on your PC, connect your smartphone (they will work as your controller) and that’s all.

7. Hike a trail together

This one is similar to climbing the mountain but better in our opinion. Why? Because you can bring your friends around to make things even more interesting for all of you. Hiking a trail is a long process and requires a lot of preparation. Having your friends around will make things less tense and more fun. Besides, you get to introduce your partner in a unique way, which is a good thing.

8. Go bowling

And the last one on our list is bowling. To some, it might seem like more fun than working out, but you’ll be surprised at how much energy you need to constantly pick up those heavy balls. And if both of you are competitive, you will have a nice time reaching the highest score. Also, as an added bonus, you don’t even need to wear your sports apparel to play as most bowling alleys are in city malls or downtown.

Each of these ideas are a nice combination of sports and fun, which is exactly what you need on a date.
