Pregnancy Story + The Best Maternity Clothing

I always joked around that I could not be very pregnant during the summer months. But living in Florida that was most months.

Of course, I had a baby in July and August so I was very pregnant during the hottest months of the year. I didn’t leave the house!

Baby #2 was the pregnancy with the most craziness. About 2 weeks before I gave birth, I managed to trip over a curb and twist my ankle. The baby was fine but pregnancy + crutches = not a fun situation.

This baby also decided that he wanted to be born 3 weeks early and he was going to make a fast and complicated entry into this world.

At about 530am my water broke. It took us a little time to get out the door because I was not ready – I did not have a bag ready! Plus the hospital was about 30 minutes from our house.

We arrived at the house around 630am and when they check me they said that he was breech! So as they prepared things for a C-Section.

Well my baby didn’t want to wait for a C-section and because it was right around 7am….you know when the doctors are changing shifts….they couldn’t’ find a doctor.

I kept hearing they needed an OBGYN stat as they told me not to push. A doctor arrived about a minute before he was born and helped deliver him safely. She said that was the first breech delivery she had done in 10 years!

It was pretty crazy – but we are thankful everything worked out and his little body only had a few bruises. It could have been a lot worse.

This baby just celebrated his 12th birthday this month! And as I look back – there are so many amazing companies that are around now that I didn’t have the luxury of using when I was pregnant.
