It’s getting harder and harder to find things to watch on TV with my kids. We don’t have family movie nights as often as we used to and I miss that!
So I am super excited about Netflix’s newest release “A Week Away”! It’s a musical that your whole family will love!
I grew up going to Christian summer camps and I think it will be fun to watch this musical that is set at a Christian summer camp.
About A Week Away:
Troubled teen Will Hawkins (Kevin Quinn) has a choice to make – go to juvenile detention or attend a Christian summer camp. While at camp, and with the help of his music, new friends, and love interest (Bailee Madison), he learns the healing powers of kindness, forgiveness, and faith can be found in the most unlikely of places.
I watched the trailer with my daughter and she said it’s a cross between High School Musical and Teen Beach Movie.
And you will recognize Will Hawkins – he played Xander on Bunk’d on Disney.
I am also super excited about some of the songs that are part of the movie. None of the songs are original – so they are definitely songs you have heard before.
