You may have never used tofu in recipes, but I can tell you that it is extremely versatile and easily absorbs flavors! For the stir fry, we used the firmer tofu but if you are blending the tofu you can get the softer tofu.

What ingredients do you need to make Tofu Stir Fry?

House Foods Organic Tofu Extra Firm
Canola Oil
Soy sauce
Rice vinegar
Garlic cloves
Fresh ginger
Toasted sesame oil
Honey
Miso paste
Cornstarch
Green onions
Red & Yellow peppers
1 Carrot
Snow peas
Sesame seeds

 

 

How to make tofu stir fry?

 

In a medium bowl add soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, miso, honey, and dissolved corn starch mixture.

Whisk all ingredients together. Heat 2 tablespoons of the canola oil on high heat.

Add Tofu and cook 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.

 

 

Remove from the pan and add to a bowl and immediately add to the sauce and prep your vegetables.

In the same skillet or wok on medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of canola oil. Add the onions, cook for 2 minutes, or until soft.

 

 

Then add the ginger and garlic and stir for about a minute.

 

 

Add the carrots and peppers, and cook for 5 minutes. Add a splash of water to steam.

 

 

Add the snow peas and cook for another minute till the vegetables are crisp-tender.

Add the tofu and sauce back into the frying pan and stir in till all incorporated, cook for 1-2 minutes.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately over rice or teriyaki noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack House Foods Organic Tofu Extra Firm, drained pressed, and cut into 1/2" pieces
  • 3 Tablespoons canola or vegetable oil, divided
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons garlic, minced 2-3 cloves
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 Tablespoon miso paste thinned with 1 Tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 Tbsp water
  • 4 green onions, cut into slices
  • 1 large red pepper seeds removed cut into slices
  • 1 large yellow pepper seeds removed cut into slices
  • 1 carrot julienned in strips
  • 1 1/2 cup snow peas
  • 1/4 cup of sesame seeds

Instructions

    the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  8. Add the tofu and sauce back into the frying pan and stir in till all incorporated, cook for 1-2 minutes.

I can't wait to make this for my family for dinner it looks so good . We love Tofu and veggies too so this is perfect for us to make.
