My kids love beef and broccoli, so I thought I would try a chicken and broccoli recipe. It was really easy. It was a nice change to have this with spaghetti instead of rice. My kids loved this dinner.
Broccoli Chicken Noodle Bowls
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 bag of broccoli florets
- oil to coat pan
- ½ a white onion, sliced
- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp water
- 8 oz cooked spaghetti – we like thin spaghetti
Instructions
- First boil the broccoli.
- Mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch and water and set aside.
- In a large frying pan heat the oil and add the onion and chicken. Cook until the meat is no longer pink.
- Add the soy sauce mixture and bring to a boil.
- Drain and add the broccoli. (I usually let the broccoli come to a boil. I like it to have a little crunch to it.)
- Serve over spaghetti!
