My kids love beef and broccoli, so I thought I would try a chicken and broccoli recipe. It was really easy. It was a nice change to have this with spaghetti instead of rice. My kids loved this dinner.

Broccoli Chicken Noodle Bowls

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 bag of broccoli florets
  • oil to coat pan
  • ½  a white onion, sliced
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 8 oz cooked spaghetti - we like thin spaghetti

Instructions

  1. First boil the broccoli.
  2. Mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch and water and set aside.
  3. In a large frying pan heat the oil and add the onion and chicken. Cook until the meat is no longer pink.
  4. Add the soy sauce mixture and bring to a boil.
  5. Drain and add the broccoli. (I usually let the broccoli come to a boil. I like it to have a little crunch to it.)
  6. Serve over spaghetti!

See - wasn't that easy! You can add this recipe to your list of 30 minute meals!
