I have never found a good broccoli and chicken recipe that I have loved. Most of the recipes include cheese. I love cheese – but I just don’t like a broccoli and chicken casserole with cheese.
So I was playing around with some ingredients and made a dinner we all love. Plus – it cooks in the crock pot! You get your meat and veggie and a gravy in one pot! I also made mashed potatoes and it was a very easy and delicious dinner!
Crock Pot Creamy Chicken and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1 -½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 – .6 oz package Italian dressing, dry mix
- ½ cup water
- 1 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 – 12 oz package frozen broccoli
Instructions
- Add the chicken to your crock pot. Combine the Italian dressing mix, cream of mushroom soup, and water and pour it over the chicken.
- Cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 7-8 hours.
- About an hour before your will serve it add the bar of cream cheese and mix well. (I like to chop it into a few pieces so it mixes up easier.) Also add the bag of frozen broccoli.
- Cook on high for the last hour to cook the broccoli and heat the cream cheese.
You could also cook the broccoli on the stove top and add it to the dinner before serving.
This will be a recipe that will be on our master menu plan.

I like this recipe. I use a dry cream of soup recipe that would work great to make this into a freezer meal. I call it the cream of because it become whatever you add to it. Add mushrooms and it's cream of mushroom, potato, etc.

Yes you could I wouldn't add the cream soup. Just write it on the bag to add it later. Also add a note on the bag to add the broccoli the last hour. Congrats!
