Whenever we visit my dad, he likes to offer us chocolate milkshakes and chocolate sodas. This is a really yummy dessert my kids enjoy. So to do something fun this year for Halloween, I wanted to make some Halloween Snacks for us to enjoy while we were decorating our pumpkins. I used a little inspiration from my dad’s favorite dessert!
The first thing we had to do was head to Walmart to pick up all the ingredients we needed to decorate pumpkins and make Fanta Floats. Walmart even had free samples! These are so easy to make and delicious! I would drink this every day.
How To Make Jack O Lantern Floats
Before we started to decorate the pumpkins, we decorated our plastic cups with Jack O Lantern faces. All you need is a sharpie to create your spooky Jack O Lantern face. Your kids will have tons of fun making silly faces on their cups.
Grab your favorite vanilla ice cream and add a scoop to your cup.
Then pour enough Fanta to almost fill the cup. Give it a little stir with your straw to combine these amazing flavors.
Last, squirt some canned whipped cream on top. Serve and enjoy! This delicious combination is like eating an Orange Creamsicle ice pop. But a little less messy. You get the combination of the creamy vanilla ice cream with the cold, fizzy orange soda.
Jack O Lantern Floats
- 7 oz plastic cups
- Sharpies
- vanilla ice cream
- 2 liter of Fanta or mini cans
- Canned Whipped Cream
- straws
Instructions:
- Decorate your cup with your best Jack O Lantern face.
- Add a scoop of vanilla and fill the cup with Fanta. Give it a little stir.
- Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
This will make a lot of drinks – so you can share with all your friends!
My kids decided they wanted to color their pumpkins with markers. So heres a video of them being creative.
