No matter how cool and collected you are in situations, you are going to have to deal with stress. I have always been the type of person that just let things go. I didn’t let things bother me and I would be fine with that. I always remember my mom and sisters wondering why I was never that stressed.
Well, life has got a little hectic and that has caused a little stress. At the end of the year we made a huge move. We sold almost everything we owned from the past 11 years and moved to Florida with 14 suit cases for our family of 5. Trying to decide what was worth packing and what could be replaced is very hard.
We have been back in Florida for about 3 months. It has been a whirlwind of traveling, adjusting to our new life, and homeschooling. It is a lot to take in! But is has also been FUN!
I have found a few ways to deal with stress so it doesn’t get the best of me. Most days I can usually laugh it off and let it go – and other days I need a little help.
3 Tips to Stress Less
Find time to do something by yourself. Because I work from home and homeschool my kids, I hear my name about 1000 times per day and somedays I feel like all I do is cook and clean. Make sure you carve out some time for yourself. Get up before the kids and have a cup of coffee (or tea) and spend some time reading a good book. Don’t go online – checking your email or Facebook could just cause stress!
The risk with going online is doomscrolling aimlessly. What started as a short social media catch-up may end up in several hours of scrolling through your feed. That being said, doing something for yourself doesn’t mean you have to be physically active. Time for yourself can be idle time, and if you’re disciplined, this could be spent online too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with spending a few minutes on social media —as long as you know how to stop! Or, perhaps, you can introduce naturally timed and intentional activities online, such as playing solitaire or watching a vlog on YouTube.
Take a bath! We have a wonderful bathtub. I try to take a nice, hot bath about once a week to relax. I usually have some of my favorite candles around to help me relax. (I really love my spearmint candles, the scent is amazing!) Bath salts or essential oils are also great to add to your bath.

I listen to meditation apps before bed. I find them a great way to relax and calm down before going to sleep. I need to try some of these Pastilles. They sounds very interesting.
