Staying Connected This Mother's Day With Unlimited Talk Text and Data/Web

For many years, I have not been able to spend Mother's Day with my mom. It really stinks to live so far away from family. You have to miss out on many holidays and special events.
I am very grateful for technology. It keeps us connected. We can talk whenever we want, send text messages, and more. Even when there are many miles between us - we can still feel connected.
The only problem is that the cell phone my mom has had for many years doesn't keep us connected as well as I would like. She had one of those phones that had a keyboard. Remember those phones that had a full keyboard when you would slide it up? It didn't do much other than talk and text. She didn't have apps and if we sent her a picture they were incredible tiny.
I had a great idea for a Mother's Day gift. It is time for her to upgrade her cell phone! I found a really great deal on a cell phone and a new plan at Walmart. I picked up a ZTE Zinger for just $29.88. This phone is perfect for her. She can do everything with it! It is a touch screen phone with apps and she can send and receive pictures from our kids.
I also activated her phone so she now has Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 1G of 4G LTE data. She can surf the web and catch up on Facebook when she is on her lunch break.
This plan is so affordable. It's just $29.88 per month (for the first line). You will not find a plan this cheap that includes data - it is the lowest priced unlimited plans! (I also had to to purchase the $25.00 SIM Card starter kit.)
I love it when I look through my photo stream and see all the pictures my daughter has taken with my phone. So now with my mom's new phone I can send her some fun pictures of my kids when they are silly.
Now we can feel even closer no matter how far apart we are. This Mother's Day give a gift that will help you stay connected with your loved ones.

My mom would like a gift like this. We haven't tried Walmart phones but I want too. I heard good things about them.

This is such a great plan. Wish we had it here. I would switch in an instant. No plans that I know for yet for Mothers Day, my husband will be working!
I love those last photos! So funny. We're doing lunch with my mom and grandma. It's going to be a fun outing!
My mother still uses a land line but we talk every few days. I wish she had cell phone with data so I could send her pictures more easily.
Walmart has great data plans and pricing. It's important to have smartphones now to send pictures and share memories!
We will be using this very thing in a few weeks! We need to save some money and it's a perfect way to do it
I love the Walmart Family Mobile plans. They are so affordable.
Walmart really does seem to have great plans! My mom doesn't need one, but we'll be looking into getting my daughter a phone soon and will definitely keep them in our list of options.

We are celebrating early since my husband has to work on Sunday ... out to eat and maybe a little shopping. 🙂 Also my kids surprised me one day this week with breakfast in bed. They couldn't wait until Mother's Day. 🙂
