#V8EnergyBoost #CollectiveBias
Most parents get really excited when the new school year is about to begin – not me! I home school my kids so as we come to the end of the year I get excited. I love home schooling. We learn so many great things and we love the flexibility – but we also love our summer vacations!
Usually I need a little energy boost during the day to help me get past the slump. I live in Florida, so drinking hot coffee to get me through the day is not a very good option. I am trying to cut out soda from my diet because it is high in calories and really has no nutritional value.
When I was in Walmart I noticed V8 + Energy drinks on the juice aisle. It caught my attention because it has natural energy from green tea, it only has 50 calories, and offering a combined serving of fruit and vegetable. ( I could always use an extra serving of fruit and veggies!)
Here’s my day:
- 7:30am – I don’t wake up too early, most nights I have a hard time sleeping, so since my husband is the morning person he lets me sleep in a little.
- 8:00am – I get on my laptop and check my email and make sure there isn’t anything urgent I need to take care of.
- 8:30am – Time to make breakfast for everyone. I also spend a little time cleaning up the kitchen.
- 9:00am – Do a little work until we start school.
- 9:30am – 1:00pm – We do home school. My 4th grader works on his Math and English while I help my 1st grader do his Math, Reading, Handwriting, etc. Once my 4th grader is done with his work I will spend time reading History and Science to him. Some days when the kids are both doing work, I find time to do more work.
- 1:00pm – We have lunch and the kids take a break. Later in the day they will spend some time reading.
- 1:30 – 4:30pm – I spend the next few hours cleaning and working. I try to keep a schedule to keep the house clean so I don’t have to spend my whole weekend cleaning. About 2:30pm is when I need my pick me up. Some days I just want to lay down and take a nap – but there’s too much to do. If I grab a V8 + Energy drinks it gets me through the next few hours.
- 4:30 – 6:30pm – During this time I’m making, eating, and cleaning up dinner.
- 6:30-8:00pm – I try to hang out with the kids. We will watch a show together, play a game, or we can even spend some time in the pool.
- 8-8:30pm – Get all 3 kids ready and tucked into bed.
- 8:30 – 12:00am – More work! I usually stay up too late but there is too much to do!
As you can see my day is usually jam packed. Between the cleaning, home school, meal prep, and work – I need a little extra energy. Drinking a V8 + Energy drink is a great way to give me the little boost I need to keep up. It’s the better energy option for my afternoon pick-me-up!
Plus it’s so easy to grab and go! I can drink it on the way to the grocery store. Or enjoy the cool, refreshing drink by the pool. And it’s delicious!
They come in several flavors:
- Pomegranate Blueberry
- Peach Mango
- Orange Pineapple
- Black Cherry
- Tomato
- Diet Strawberry Lemonade
- Diet Cranberry Raspberry
What are your tips for getting a little pick me up in the middle of the day?

I've started drinking one in the afternoon and it really takes the late day hunger pangs away. Good thing because that's when I usually snack the most. #client

I've found trying to stay hydrated seems to help more than anything most days!! You have a crazy schedule but it's the life of a mom. :)

My hubby loves energy drinks so much. This brand is pretty new to me, but sounds good. Though all these flavors looks delicious, I would like to try the orange pineapple flavor. Will have to check this out for sure.

I have not tried the V8 V-Fusion+Energy Drink yet. I will have to pick some up to try. I could always use a boost in the afternoon.
