It is hot in Florida. One of the ways we can cool down is with ice cream! My kids love ice cream. When they can pick out any dessert – they pick ice cream. We love to cool off with a yummy bowl for dessert.
I was in Walmart this past Saturday and they were giving out samples of Blue Bunny Ice Cream Sandwiches. They were delicious – the ice cream inside was so creamy. My kids were with me so they asked if we could buy some ice cream.
Make sure you mark your calendar for the next Blue Bunny demo happening June 18-20 at Walmart, featuring Blue Bunny Vanilla Ice Cream and Biscoff. Im pretty sure I will be back for this demo. (Make sure you check this list to verify the date your local Walmart will have this demo.)
To celebrate the end of school, I decided to have an ice cream sundae time. I made some easy hot fudge sauce and peanut butter sauce. We also had waffle bowls, sprinkles, chocolate pieces, and peanuts. Then we topped them off with some whipped cream.
It was so easy to throw together and they kids loved it. We had some leftover sauce – so they asked if we could to it again tomorrow. We have plenty of ice cream leftover – so of course we can!
You are going to love how easy these recipes are! I usually have most of the ingredients in the house. They are perfect for summer fun: pool parties, birthday parties, sleepovers, BBQ’s, and more!
Peanut Butter Sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup peanut butter*
- 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
- 3 Tablespoons Corn Syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a medium sauce pan, combine all the ingredients.
- Heat over medium heat and mix well until everything is combined well.
- To re-heat: microwave for 20 seconds, stir and repeat as needed.
Store in an air tight container in your refrigerator. Makes about 1 cup.
*Do not use natural peanut butter. It will make the sauce too oily.
Hot Fudge Sauce
- 6 ounces good quality semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
- In a blender, add chocolate chips, sugar, butter, and vanilla – set aside.
- In a small saucepan heat up the whipping cream over medium heat. Stir often until it is boiling.
- Pour the hot heavy whipping cream over the chocolate mixture and blend on high until smooth.
- To re-heat: microwave for 20 seconds, stir and repeat as needed.
Tip – if you have a blender with a smoothie cup – it will be the perfect size.
Store in an air tight container in your refrigerator. Makes about 1 cup.
You can literally throw these recipes together in about 10 minutes and everyone will be so impressed.

I love homemade hot fudge. I've made it a little differently in the past, but I like your recipe with the heavy whipping cream. Definitely going to give that a try. #client
