Do you dread dinnertime? I know I have a few 30 minute or less meals on my list of dinners that I can whip up in a flash when we are short on time. With 3 kids and lots of activities – that is the scenario in my house almost every night of the week. Between baseball, gymnastics, ceramics, etc – I need dinners that my kids will love and I can get it on the table fast! Manwich makes dinner time so much better. The hearty sauce with a sweet and tangy taste has the kid-stopping power to bring your family’s attention back to mealtime and away from everyday distractions, like video games and texting. It’s a meal you enjoy with 2 hands! Just cook up some ground beef or ground turkey and you have a meal in just a few minutes. There are so many ways you can change up the recipe from a tasty sloppy joe or a hearty casserole or tacos. The sauce is very flavorful and helps you get dinner on the table in a jiffy. My kids love cheese, so I wanted to add some cheese to my Sloppy Joes. Here’s my quick and easy recipe that will be on the table in about 20 minutes.
Extra Cheesy Manwich
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 can original Manwich
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese + additional to add on top.
- Hoagie Rolls
Pre-heat the oven to 350*. Split open the hoagie rolls and set them on a cookie sheet. When the oven is preheated bake them for about 5 minutes to crisp them up a little. Add the turkey to a pan and cook until it is completely cooked. Drain the juices. When the turkey is cooked add 1 can of Manwich – stir until completely covered and then add 1 cup of cheese. Add the Manwich meat to the hoagie rolls. (You should have enough for 6 sandwiches.) Top with a slice of Cheddar cheese. Turn the broiler on to low in your oven. Place the open sandwiches in the oven to melt the cheese. (Watch it carefully.) Serve and enjoy. You can serve this with fruit salad, red pepper “fries”, baby carrots, a salad, etc. You will have this dinner on the table in about 20 minutes! Manwich has always been a staple in our food pantry. It was a meal that could be made quickly so no matter what everyone had going on – we could still have dinner as a family. It really helps make dinner time easier any time of the week! Manwich Sloppy Joes are a tasty, easy-to-make family meal just like your mom used to make. Make Tonight a Manwich Night and get your family around the table. Pick up all three varieties of Manwich: Manwich Original, Manwich Bold, and Manwich Thick & Chunky. Visit Manwich.com and follow @Manwich on Twitter for recipes and more. My husband and I enjoy Manwiches every once in a while but I like pickles on mine because it tastes like BBQ.

I haven't ever tried turkey with Manwich but this sounds like a good idea. My family would love the cheesy part too which is another idea I hadn't thought of. Thanks!
