Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies – Cookie Gift In A Jar

Thanks to SC Johnson for sponsoring this conversation about Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies. All opinions are my own.

I love Christmas..all the parties, food, and cookies! I love all the cookies that people give to me during the holidays but sometimes I have to throw them away. Not because I don’t want to eat them, but it’s because I have so many that I don’t have time to enjoy all of them before they are too old to eat.

This year instead of bringing my friends and family a tray of cookies, I am going to give them the ingredients to make their own cookies. Once all the cookies are gone, they can easily whip up a delicious batch of holiday cookies!

These Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies scream Christmas! It’s like drinking a delicious cup of hot chocolate in a cookies. Plus they look so festive!

Glass jars can be expensive so I buy a few packs of Ziploc® Brand Storage containers. The 4 cup size fits the ingredients perfectly for these cookies!

Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

Layer in a Ziploc® Brand 4 Cup container:

  • 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • Add to the top: ¼ cup candy cane, finely crushed (In a sandwich Ziploc® Brand bag)

They are really simple to put together and very pretty. You can even print out these gift tags to include with your ingredients.

Your friends and family will be so happy they can enjoy these cookies any time they want!
