This information is brought to you in a partnership with Wondery. All opinions are my own. #MelonsHouseParty #WonderyKids #Wondery #MomSelect

I think technology is a huge resource in our lives. In our home, we know that it’s so nice to have the ability to work from home so we can be home for our kids.

When we lived overseas – it was the best way for us to keep connected to our family.

And even more recently, we have seen how access to digital content has helped to educate our children.

There is a fine line for our kids between healthy and unhealthy device usage. So I think it’s important to have boundaries to help our kids use all the digital resources to learn more, be more creative, and learn more skills!

We love podcasts! We have grown so accustomed to being multi-taskers. As adults, it’s nice to listen to a podcast while we are doing the dishes or taking a trip in the car.

Podcasts are also a great option for our kids – especially ones that tell stories!

Right now our kids are listening to Melon’s House Party! It’s an entertaining podcast for the whole family. I love the fun songs that are part of each podcast! Each episode is about 30 minutes and shares a really fun story!

About Melon’s House Party

Welcome to Melon’s House Party! Did you know that the objects in your house sing and speak all day long? They just do so in a key only dogs can hear. Enter, Melon, an eight-pound dog with a thousand-pound heart who is the key to a world that lives right under our noses!

She lives in a world full of friends; an always singing record player, a soulless computer, her bookshelf therapist, and many more. But her best friend in the world is Couch.

No musical adventure is too big for Melon and Couch as long as they can figure out a way to do it together. As Melon learns about herself and the world around her, she shows us how to appreciate the little things in life and the importance of friendship and family.

What I really love about this podcast is that the kids get to use their imagination as they listen to Melon’s adventures in each podcast. They are creating their own images for each character and the locations as they hear new things about everyone in each podcast.

If you have smaller kids, you can listen to the story together and then stop it and see if you can guess what is going to happen next.
