If you have kids, you know that they tend to get sick or hurt during non-business hours. They can be fine all day and then around 5:30pm they have a fever and ear ache. Has this ever happened to you? I am so happy to have a Walgreens Healthcare Clinic Tampa.

I have been a Mom for 8 years and there have been so many times that I had to wait until the next day – and sometimes the next afternoon – to have my sick child taken care of. As a mom you want to know what is wrong and you want to be able to fix it as soon as possible.

Here are my top 3 times I needed a Walgreens #HealthcareClinic:

  1. Physicals & Wellness Visits – It’s the beginning of the school year and you realize that your child needs to have a physical. So you make a call and find out everywhere is booked solid for a few weeks! But you need this done this week, before school starts. Walgreens Healthcare Clinics are open 7 days a week and during weeknights. No need to schedule an appointment. Walgreens can meet your need on your time.
  2. Fever and ear ache – It’s Saturday afternoon and your poor baby woke up with a fever and complaining of an ear ache. I don’t want it to get worse so I want to get him/her checked out now. I can visit my local Walgreens and they can diagnose and treat my baby. Even better, I don’t need to make an additional stop to go buy the medicine I need. It’s all in one place. I always hated to have to make an extra stop at the pharmacy with a sick child. I can grab what I need and get my child back home to rest.
  3. You are about to go on vacation and you realize that going on a cruise without motion sickness medicine may not make for the best vacation. You can stop by your local Walgreens Healthcare Clinics and their board-certified family nurse practitioners and physician assistants can help you understand what medications you need for travel and prepare your medications for travel. They can also write you a prescriptions when appropriate for the prevention of malaria, motion sickness, altitude sickness and traveler’s diarrhea.

Walgreens Healthcare Clinics provides so many more services for you and your family. They can give vaccinations, monitor and manage your current heath care needs, treat skin conditions and minor injuries, health care screenings, and many more! The next time you need to see a medical professional, consider visiting your local Walgreens Healthcare Clinics.

There are so many benefits to visiting a Walgreens Healthcare Clinic:

  • Open during hours that work for you.
  • They take most insurance policies
  • No appointment necessary.
  • Available for children and adults ages 18 months and up.
  • You can check online and see what the wait time is at your local Walgreen Healthcare Clinic! Or you can schedule an appointment online. (LOVE this option!!)
  • You can view the prices of procedures online and verify that they accept your insurance.
  • One stop – get your diagnosis and medicine in the same place. My mom use to get us a new coloring book and crayons and lots of ice pops when we were sick. You can also find those at Walgreens!

Have you ever had a time when Walgreens Healthcare Clinic would have been convenient for you? I love that it’s available when I need it.

The ability to schedule an appointment that works for me and that minimizes wait times is such a huge shift in healthcare and concern about what's best for the patient. #client
