Family Game Night With XBOX & Monopoly

My kids love to play board games together. But when you have little ones who want to see what is going on they tend to make a mess of the game. My kids received a really fun Monopoly game for Christmas, but when we are playing, my daughter likes to steal some of their money and move their pieces around.

That can get really annoying when we are trying to have “Family Game Night“. Family Game Night is supposed to be filled with fun and lots of laughter – but in our house we cannot even finish the game.

So our new Family Game Night will include new Hasbro games we can play on our Xbox One! My daughter can’t steal their money but she can play with us and we call have lots of fun together.

Our lives are busy, so I really want us to create a time that our kids look forward to each week. It will be night when we close our laptops and put away our cell phones to have a distraction free night of fun as a family.

The Hasbro Game Channel has some of the best family game entertainment on leading game consoles. You can find popular Hasbro Games like Monopoly, Rist and Trivial Pursuit.

This fall, the Hasbro Game Channel will be available to download on Xbox One, video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. All games will also be available for download individually on the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

We had a chance to play Monopoly Plus on the Xbox One. It looks incredible on the screen! The game has the original 2D Monopoly board and a colorful and lively animated 3D version that evolves as you progress in the game. Monopoly Plus lets the players choose their favorite ‘House Rules’ to customize gameplay. Up to six players will be able to enjoy Monopoly Plus online or offline.

So now our family can enjoy Family Game Night. You know what else I love about this – no set up and clean up! We can start playing and not have to get everything set up on the table before we can begin. With smaller kids in the house we tend to lose some pieces – so this really is the best way for us to play games!

My two all time favorite games are Scrabble and Monopoly. I just love playing Monopoly and how it took forever to end the game. Over the years I learned that everyone you played with had their own set of house rules. We have a PS3 and we use that in the living room for streaming television, too. My husband cleaned up her PS2 and found a ton of games for it for next to nothing. One of them, Monopoly. Good times gone digital.
