LEGOLAND Florida

I received tickets to LEGOLAND. All opinions at my own. ll9

We took our second trip to LEGOLAND this month and it was awesome! My kids had been counting down the days since we set the date. My kids are 10,6 and 4 years old – so LEGOLAND is perfect for them. They could ride all the rides – so it was a lot more fun.

We were there about 2 years ago and since then they added a Chima section. It was really cool with lots of ways to get wet and refreshed. If you are visiting LEGOLAND when it’s warm, make sure you wear your swim suit so you can play in the different slash pads around the park.

There were so many things that we loved at LEGOLAND, but here are my top 4 Favorite Attractions!

Ford Driving School

Both our six year old and our ten year old got to participate in a driving school. They were excited about this experience because they did it last time we visited. The driving school for the bigger kids is more intense than the one for the younger children. The little kids area (3-5 year old) just hop on a car and start driving around in circles. My 4 year old daughter loved this! The children from ages 6-12 get their picture taken and then watch a safety video.

They drive through a little city with stop signs and traffic signals. At the end, both age groups are awarded a driver’s license, and the older ones have the option of purchasing a more official looking.

The highlight of the driving school attraction for me was watching the video of how they put together the life sized Ford Explorer that sits out front. It’s made entirely of Legos! Even if you don’t do the driving school, it’s worth it to walk into the entrance and watch the screen to see the time lapse footage of the 22 people working on creating it from start to finish.

Trading Minifigures

Every person that works at LEGOLAND has minifigures on their name tag. A minifigure is a little Lego man or woman that is dressed as something different. It could be a daredevil, cowgirl, nurse, spaceman, or any other number of things. When you’re at LEGOLAND you can ask anybody who has a name tag if they want to trade minifugures with you, and they’ll show you theirs. You can then decide if you want to swap. You should buy a few when you get to the park so you can trade. They are pretty cheap, and trading them adds something to your experience.

Roller Coasters!

My kids are finally at the age where they love to ride the roller coasters. All 3 kids are tall enough, so no one is left out. I love it because my husband and I can even enjoy the roller coasters and we don’t have to sit behind and wait for them to be done. We loved the wooden roller coaster – Coastersaurus. While we were waiting in like all the employees started singing “If you are happy and you know it…”. It was a great way to pass the time. We also loved the Dragon. My kids went on it a few times in a row!

MiniLand

MiniLand

This area is amazing! There are so many different sections and they are all built with LEGOs. Some move and others are just huge buildings. You can see Daytona Speedway and Kennedy Space Center.

They also have fun shows your kids will enjoy. Make sure you look for the show times so you can arrange your schedule.

I have always wanted to go to a LEGO land that looks so fun. One of my step sons is completely obsessed with Legos still. My inlaws live in Fl I wonder if I could plan a mini vacation.
