Part 1 – Saving Money On Your Electric Bill

Well the summer is here and in many parts of the country it is HOT! We are from Florida and June, July, and August are brutal. You simply can’t live without running your air conditioner every day. Your electric bill is usually pretty high every month too. The night are pretty yucky too. And don’t get me started about the awful humidity.

Don’t get me wrong. Florida is a great place to live. It’s just a little uncomfortable in the summer. So I thought I would write a few posts to help you easily keep your house a little cooler. I have friends that own an awing company and they have told us that you can really help keep your house a little cooler with awnings.

I found these helpful graphics at AwningInfo.com

As you can see – the savings are pretty significant. You are not only saving money but you are saving energy. Which is good for the environment.

There are a few great reasons to consider using awnings:

  • Energy savings
  • Expand your living space
  • Protect family and pets from sun
  • Curb appeal
  • Enhanced outdoor decor
  • Customization & shade control

West Coast Awnings operates all over Florida, with a concentration on Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties; in particular the Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg areas. Contact West Coast Awnings for a free estimate.

They have been in business since 1957 and they can provide Fabric awnings, canopies, sun screens, drop curtains, and other shade structures, custom ornamental metal railings, motorized retractable awnings and screens,  umbrellas, and more for residential or commercial buildings.

Disclaimer – I was not compensated for this review. I will always provide you with an honest review of everything. I know the family that owns West Coast Awnings and I think they are an amazing family.
