I enjoy music. With three kids running around the house, I don’t listen to it much unless I’m traveling or jogging. When I travel I have a really quality pair of headphones, and when I am jogging, I use regular earbuds. So when my wife told me she got a pair of SleepPhones to try out, I didn’t think much of it. Then I was packing for a trip to China and decided to toss them in my carry on to see if they might be useful on my trip, and they sure were!
The place I was staying in China was not the quietest place. When you can hear a rooster crowing almost all night or cars passing by on the street right next to your window, that qualifies as a “not so quiet place” and makes sleeping very difficult, even for someone who can usually sleep anywhere at anytime. I was happy to have the SleepPhones with me the first night when I went to sleep. I put them on my head, loaded my favorite album on my phone, and fell asleep very well despite the noise going on around me. It was all blocked by the music that was coming from to me from my SleepPhones.
The SleepPhones are comfortable. They are soft and fit over your ears in a way that still makes it easy to sleep in any position. Since I snore when I lay on my back, my wife has trained me to sleep on my side. This is incredibly easy to do with SleepPhones. The cord comes out of the back of the headband, but it never got in the way as I was sleeping. The quality of the music is good, too. You just have to make sure you place the speakers over your ears so you can get the best quality sound possible from the SleepPhones.
They make the sleep phones with bluetooth capability and also some other ones that you can use during exercise. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an extra pair of headphones around and wants to get some good sleep. Maybe my wife should try them so I can go back to sleeping on my back.
