Holiday Gift Guide – Waterproof Bible

bible

I have another great product for you to add to your Christmas list this year! We were given a Warterproof Bible from Bardin Publishing and we love it. You can’t hurt this bible! My husband wrote this review. Be sure to check out his blog at www.ymimexico.org.

I believe in the importance of daily Bible reading, but I hardly ever carry a printed Bible with me anymore. There is much current debate about the use of electronic Bibles only in church, but I find it is easier in most cases to use my iPad as my Bible. However, there are some times when that is not the best idea. That’s when the Waterproof Bible comes in handy.

At first, the idea of a Waterproof Bible sounds a little strange to most people, but the truth is that having a Bible that is nearly indestructible is a great idea. As a youth pastor, I’ve led many camps and retreats, canoeing trips, and other events that guarantee that I’m going to get water, mud, or coffee spilt on my Bible. In those cases, I’d rather have a Waterproof Bible than my iPad any day. Plus, when you tell someone your Bible is waterproof, they want to look at it with you, whether they’re interested in the content of the pages or not.

The Waterproof Bibles have pages that are made of a durable synthetic paper that dries quickly but still maintains the ability to be written on and highlighted, just like a regular page. Your notes don’t bleed through the pages, and you can basically take them anywhere you want to read the Bible. I have yet to fully immerse the book into water, but I’m sure it can withstand it. The water basically rolls off the page and is almost instantly dry.

They come in the NIV, ESV, KJV, NKJV, NLT, and even the Reina Valera in Spanish.  If you want a Bible you can take with you anywhere, you can’t go wrong with a Waterproof Bible.  You can even customize your Bible!

More about the Waterproof Bible

As believers in Jesus Christ and a love to be in God’s creation and exposed to the elements, we have often desired to have a Bible by our side for reading here and there. Our exploring has led us to mountain tops, river banks, sandy beaches, misty valleys, dark caves, and hot springs, and has caused us to become soaked to the core while backpacking or paddling. I hate to admit that our Bible has not made it with us on many of these occasions for the sake of protecting it and because we don’t trust a plastic bag not to puncture. Now we can put an end to all the worrying that we have done in the past about our Bibles and take God’s Word wherever our adventures lead.
