We only have a few more weeks of school left so that means it is time to start planning your summer vacations. I live in Florida so we go to the beach all the time. It is so nice to live close enough to just pack up a quick bag and spend a few hours at the beach.
Since we have done it so many times it’s really easy to throw together the essentials for a beach day. I have created this printable Beach Day Checklist for you so that when it’s time for you to spend the day at the beach you can get ready in no time!
There are the obvious things to bring like a towel and something to sit on like a chair or blanket. You must also protect your skin from the rays of the sun. Pack sunscreen, an umbrella, or a hat to keep you shady during your fun day. It’s also a good idea to have a small first aid kit handy when you are away from home.
The beach is hot – so it is very important to stay hydrated. We fill up a cooler with ice and some SunnyD Tangy Orange flavored drinks. They come in small bottles so there are easy to drink (perfect for little hands) and don’t make a mess. Kids are excited to stay hydrated if you offer them SunnyD! (Tip – you can pick up a 24 pack of 6.75oz SunnyD on rollback at Sam’s Club for just $ $5.38! You can find them on an end-cap display in the refrigerated section of your favorite Sam’s Club.)
SunnyD isn’t jus for kids! It is very refreshing and brings me back to my childhood. It reminds me of fun times with my family and friends.
My least favorite part of the beach is the sand. I hate how it sticks to everything and makes a giant mess as it leaves a trail from your car, to your house and even into your washing machine.
It is so important to pack an extra set of clothes. Once you change shake out as much of the sand as possible. It’s even better if you can hang these clothes out to dry and shake them out again before you wash them so you don’t ruin your washing machine.
You can use some baby powder to get the sand off if you are dry. Or keep a gallon of water in the trunk of your car to do a final wash off before everyone jumps into the car!
You can add things to this check list like the things you like to bring to the beach. Some people like to bring a radio, a good book, or beach toys. Add a plastic ziptop bag to protect your cell phone and camera.
Depending on how long you are staying at the beach and who is with you, your checklist can vary a lot. Make sure you have lots of fun and take many pictures to remember your day!
What is something you must take to the beach with you?

Good checklist and one I should always use since I tend to forget some of the things we need most!
