Hello Disney goers! Are you excited for your next Disney vacation? Whether it is your first trip or your twenty first, you won’t want to head out without this DIY keepsake.
On our last trip to Disney, we decided to do something special with our character signatures. On our previous trips, we had collected several signatures in autograph books. It was fun for the kids and we had some memorable character interactions.
When we returned home, the books went inside the kid’s keepsake boxes and were not touched again until time to pack for the next trip. This time we wanted something that we could use and see year long.
After some brainstorming and canvas painting at my daughter’s birthday party, we knew just what we wanted……… Disney AUTOGRAPH CANVASES!
We purchased the canvases at Michaels in a pack of 7 with a 50% regular priced item coupon. The total cost was around $10.
I found a colorful pack of Bic fine point permanent markers for $5 at Kroger. I used these to decorate the canvases and for the signatures. They like fat pens and markers because some have large hands and fingers. They can grip the larger ones better.
For my sons 2nd birthday I made Mickey and Minnie shape PB and J’s so I used the cutters as stencils on the canvas. My talented sister did the sketches on the other canvases of Jasmine and Mickey Mouse’s clubhouse.
To transport the Disney Autograph Canvases and keep them safe and dry, we used this amazing waterproof backpack from Geckobrands. It is lightweight, roomy, and super comfortable on your shoulders.
All seven of the Disney Autograph Canvases fit perfectly inside and we kept the markers stored in the front zipper pocket: organized and easy to grab during our character meals. Every time we went through security and had our bag checked, the cast members commented on how much they liked them.
