Our family has wanted to get into 3D printing for some time, but it’s kind of intimidating. We’re not really tinkerers or great at fixing things, so we needed an easy way to learn how it all works and get started. That’s why the Funbox by ugee is the best 3D printer for kids!

Our family, like most, is busy. We don’t have much time to mess around figuring things out. We tend to like things to just work out of the box. So when we were thinking about 3D printing, we knew that we needed a machine that would just work.
That’s what we got with the Funbox. After taking it out of the box, we were literally up and running in less than 10 minutes. We just loaded the filament (which was tricky at first, but not too tricky).

Again, having it in the same room where we watch television and spend time has not been an issue. The machine is not silent, but it is quiet. It mostly runs and prints in the background while we do other things like watch television or read, and it doesn't interfere with what we are doing. It's also odorless, so we hardly notice it’s around or running.

Because our kids are a little older (and my husband is also a big kid at heart), we were happy to see that you can import STL files into the ugee app and print them on the Funbox, as long as the files are not over 10MB and can be printed on the build plate.
This means you can go to one of the many online repositories and download files to print a lot of things you may not even find in the ugee app. We’ve printed a lot of fun and useful things for our house.
