How I Save Money WIth Amazon Prime

Sharing is caring!

People may think that Amazon Prime is a lot of money. But I think the benefits are much great than the fees. First lets talk about the cost and then I will share the benefits.

  • If you are a student you can get a free 6 month subscription to Amazon Prime. After your trial is over it is just $39 per year.
  • If you are not a student you can still get a free 30 days trial to Amazon Prime. After the 30 days the cost is $79 per year.
  • If you are a mom – you definitely want to find out more about the Amazon Mom program. The benefits are awesome! It is also $79 per year. You can get up to 20% off diapers and wipes. (When we had kids in diaper – this was totally worth the $79! We saved so much on diapers and wipes and they were delivered to my house!

FREE Two-Day Shipping

I save so much money with the benefit of free 2-day shipping. I can watch the prices of the things I want to buy and when they get to my desired price I can buy them. I don’t have to spend $25 to get to the free shipping threshold. If something is $8.99 – I can order it and that is all I have to order. (I will share more about how I track prices in another post.)  If you need it shipped overnight – you just pay an addition $1.99.

Prime Instant Video

So many people pay $7.99 per month to stream videos and TV shows from Netflix. That’s $95.88 per year! With Prime you are paying $16.88 less and you get so many more benefits! Instantly watch over 40,000 movies and TV episodes with titles for everyone!

Kindle Owner’s Lending Library

The Lending Library features over 180,000 titles, including many New York Times bestsellers. Books borrowed from the Lending Library have no due date and can be delivered to other Kindle devices registered to your Amazon account.

Note: Books that are borrowed from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library can be read only on Kindle devices.

You can even Share Your Benefits! Amazon Prime members can share their shipping benefits with up to four additional family members living in the same household, or up to four coworkers. Other Amazon Prime membership benefits such as Prime Instant Video and the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library can’t be shared.
