Are you thinking about retiring in Florida? Here is a great option. Florida is such a beautiful location. I have spent most of my life in Florida.  Here is a guest post about why you should consider Verandah.

“Gorgeous natural beauty with amenities and a lifestyle that can’t be beat!” That’s how the company that built this community touts it. I have to admit Verandah is enticing. It’s a retirement community in Fort Myers built by Kolter Homes. And Kolter has the reputation to back that statement up too. Kolter Homes has been building quality homes for more than a decade here in Florida and there’s a good reason that they’ve stuck around.

Verandah, the awesome community in question is just three minutes from I-75, in a small but just big enough town of Fort Myers, Florida. Verandah is tucked away in a setting of moss-draped oak trees, winding pathways and sun-dappled river fronts.  Here, the warm climate mirrors the warm and inviting lifestyle. Yes there’s humidity but to be honest it’s only really hot maybe two months out of the year. Along with the nine-miles of trails and boardwalks that twist and turn through the community’s grand preserve, Verandah features a long list of great things to do.

They’ve obviously got the typical golf ad tennis, but what isn’t typical is how nice the courses and courts are. The Old Orange course was designed by Bob Cupp, and the Whispering Oak course by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II. Their new state-of-the-art fitness center has five Har-Tru Tennis Courts, a swimming pool, specialized spa services, and more. They also have a full time activities director on staff to ensure there is always something for everyone. Each of their unique single-family floor plans features a range of personalize designer options to help create your dream home. Overlooking the preserve or golf course, the homes at Verandah will include spacious porches and beautiful landscaping.
