Many people make New Year's Resolutions. This year I want to make better choices. For me, that means no more soda and a lot less sugar. On my afternoon break, I will now enjoy Bigelow Teas and desserts made with Truvia®.
I have always loved to drink tea. I have many memories of drinking tea with my grandma. She would make it so sweet! I still enjoy sweet tea but gradually I am using less and less and switching to Truvia®.
If you haven't heard of Truvia, it is an excellent alternative to sugar. Truvia® natural sweetness is born from the sweet leaves of the stevia plant. I love to bake so I have switched some of my recipes to Truvia® Baking Blend. It is a blend of Truvia® Natural Sweetener and sugar with 75% fewer calories per serving than sugar.
I just replace the sugar in the recipe with half the amount of sugar as a regular recipe. The 1.5-pound bag of Truvia® Baking Blend is equal to a 7-pound bag of sugar.
I always have bananas in my kitchen. For some reason, my kids will not eat a banana even if it has a tiny black spot. So I love to use up my bananas in a muffin recipe. If I need a mid-day break I like to have a nice cup of tea and a muffin - both sweetened with Truvia®.

What is your favorite muffin recipe?

What an interesting recipe! I've never tried Truvia, but I've got lots of pure cane sugar at home. I wonder if I could do an even ingredient exchange?
That sounds so good. Muffins are one of my favorite breakfast items because I can just grab them and go!
This looks like an easy recipe. I've been committed to eating a good breakfast but I need something quick to take to work. This looks like something I would love to try.
Looks yummy! I love Bigelow teas - they keep us warm in winter 🙂
I can't think of anything I'd rather have right now than a cup of tea and a muffin. Ah ...
I have been trying out Truvia. I am a huge sweet tea drinker and am trying to slowly switch out the sugar for the Truvia.
Those muffins sound amazing! What a delicious treat anytime of day. x
This is a wonderful recipe. I'm absolutely in love with truvia. It sweetens wonderfully, and it doesn't have that funky taste that some natural sweeteners have.
These look delicious! I have actually switched over to Truvia from Splenda, and I really like it.
I wonder how you would change up this recipe to substitute sugar for truvia? Would it be the same amount? They look yummy
Banana muffins sound fantastic. Having one in the morning with tea or coffee would be heavenly!
2 of my favorite things! Banana muffins and tea! It really is a great way to start the day off 🙂
These sound like a great breakfast. Definitely yummy with a nice cup of tea.
that looks really good. Would love to try this recipe.
I havne't tried Truvia yet but I have heard good things about it. This recipe sounds delicious.
Beautifully shared - so yummy - another recipe I am saving - it is always hard to figure out how to use sugar subs - great job! Thank you 🙂
Those look so yummy, I love banana nut muffins with a passion; I'll have to try this out some time!
I'm not usually a banana lover, but this sounds really good. Hubby likes bananas so I may just make some for him 😛
Bigelow is one of my Top 5 favorite store bought tea bags. I love some of their flavors. They have a few unique ones.
I love banana nut muffins. I have not had one in such a long time.
This is a great recipe for banana muffins. I love using Truvia instead of sugar for a lighter treat. And you have to know that Bigelow is my favorite brand of tea. They have so many great flavors! #client
