Halloween is such a fun holiday. You get to dress up in creative costumes and get lots and lots of candy. This year to help celebrate our family made some BOO Kits to share with their teachers.
This is the first year that our kids have been in public school. It’s been a little bit of an adjustment but their teachers have been amazing to make sure they are adjusting well to all the changes and to help them understand what is expected from them. So we wanted to #BOOItForward and make them a BOO Kit.
They are easy to make and they are a great gift for family and friends this Halloween! Just head to Walmart to pick up all your supplies!
First you need my recipe for chocolate chip cookies! This is my favorite recipe and you can use it to make cookies, cupcakes, and cookie cakes! This recipe will make 24 cookie cupcakes.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2-¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 (3.4 ounces) package instant vanilla pudding powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 – 12oz package of semisweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a cupcake tin with Halloween Cup Cake liners.
- Mix together the flour and baking soda, in a bowl.
- In another bowl mix together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Mix in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
- Mix with the flour mixture. Add in the chocolate chips.
- Fill about 2/3 full and bake for about 13 minutes or until the tops of the cookies begin to turn brown.
Makes 24 cupcakes.
BOO Kit

2. Open the cellophane bag and add the small can of 7UP®, Sunkist®, Canada Dry, or A&W Root Beer.
3. Next place the cardboard disk on top of the can. Then on top of the disk add the cup with the cookie cup cake.
4. Place a few extra pieces of candy between the cup and the bag. Tie it up with ribbon and attach the BOO Card.
Surprise your friends and family with a BOO Card!
The BOO Card is the best part of this kit. When you print it you will have 2 pages. One is the card that you attach to the BOO Kit that says “You’ve Been BOO’d” and inside that card you add another card that says “We’ve Been BOO’d”. See the instructions below about how to assemble to BOO Cards.
The teachers loved their BOO kit! Now they can #BOOItForward

I love this idea! It's great when you have a bunch of teachers or other people you would like to give little gifts to. I want to be boo'd!

A class with a ton of kids would be a great way to give the Boo Kits out too. Or the kids who come to the parent group meetings we have. I'm going to store this in my use at Halloween file and hopes I can remember to do this when Halloween comes around.

Love this Boo Kit! I like that it comes with a drink, not just a ton of sweets. Great gift to give to family members this Halloween.

This is a great idea. I will have to make a bunch of these for the kids to take for the class Halloween party.
