I think chaffles recipes are the most amazing things ever!! You feel like you are eating bread but they are carb-free! They are also so easy to throw together for a small serving.

My Bacon Egg and Cheese Chaffles recipe is really popular. We eat them a lot for breakfast. My son that hates eggs – loves to eat these chaffles. It’s perfect for those days when he needs a little extra protein in his belly. We love this breakfast chaffles recipe!

What is a chaffle?

A chaffle recipe is basically a cheese and eggs mixture cooked int a mini waffle maker.  It is delicious and you have no idea that you are eating cheesy eggs.

How do you make a chaffle?

A basic chaffle recipe is just 2 ingredients: egg and shredded cheese. You can adjust the flavor with different cheeses.

Finely shredded cheese is better than thicker cheese, but if it is all you have it will work!

Whisk the eggs and stir in the cheese to create the mixture and then you place about 2 Tablespoons into a mini waffle maker for about 2 minutes.

They will crisp up a bit like a normal waffle. And if you want them to be a little crispier you can sprinkle extra cheese on the batter once they are in the waffle maker or let them sit for 1-2 minutes after removing from the waffle maker.

When you add coconut flour or almond flour it will give it a more bread-like texture.

How Do I Cook A Chaffle?

You need a mini waffle maker. I have this Dash Mini Waffle maker and it’s perfect. It cooks it perfectly. (My kids love to use it to make cookies in it too!)

You could also buy a mini waffle maker that makes 4 square chaffles at a time. It would probably come in handy if you are feeding a lot of people!

The possibility are endless – you can make them sweet or savory. Today’s recipe is a savory chaffle recipe. It will give you your pizza fix in no time.

You don’t need to make this into a pizza. It’s so delicious that you can eat it without adding pizza toppings. It’s like a yummy piece of garlic bread. You could use this Italian chaffles recipe as bread and make a sandwich. Or a chaffle burger! There are so many possibilities!

This recipe makes 4-5 chaffles – I usually have my husband or kids around that want to eat these so I like a recipe that makes a little extra. My kids also love these without all the pizza toppings.

Cut the recipe in half if you just want to make 2 chaffles. I haven’t tried to reheat them but they would probably reheat well in an air fryer.
