Meal planning is so much easier with my meal prep worksheet! It has all your meals and grocery list in one place!
Every weekend I sit down and write out our weekly meals for the upcoming week. I put together my shopping list and head to the grocery store. It’s so much easier now that I have my meal plan template.
The reason this meal prepping list works so well for my family is that on the top I can write out the day of the week and the meal we have planned for that day. There is also a spot for breakfast, lunch, and snack ideas.

Then it has a space to write out what you need – like if it’s something you need in the produce or meat area of the store. There is also a place for you to take notes in case you have any coupons you want to remember you have.
Once you have everything written out, you can cut the top part that has the meals for the entire week and put it on the fridge. Then stick your grocery shopping list in your purse so you don’t forget it!
This is a great way to remind your family what meals you have available in the house. And it’s so helpful when the kids ask what’s for dinner or what can I have for lunch. They just look at the fridge and they know what they can eat!

Here are a few tips to help you meal plan!
The first thing I do is I think about the days of the week. Is it crazy busy? Do we have plans to eat with our friends and family? What are the meal times? Do we have a lot of time to prep dinner?
Then I base the meal each night on what our schedule looks like. It’s a great idea to make sure you have delicious meals all week for your family.
I have a list of meal ideas so I can easily remember what our family likes to eat. This helps me pick out easy recipes.
If we have a busy night, I pick out meals that we can make in the slow cooker.
Include dinner recipes like healthy meals on the grill on slower nights.
You don’t have to have a big meal every night. Some of the best meals we have include a side of fresh fruit.
This weekly planner is so simple to use. I don’t like a monthly calendar – I am not good at planning for an entire month. But you could easily print out this weekly menu planner more than once to meal plan for 2 weeks or a month!
The important thing is to be flexible! If you didn’t get to a meal – make sure you carry it over to the next meal plan!
