When we were little we would spend Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house and everyone would spend Christmas at my parents house. Even though it was Thanksgiving, my grandma would always have all her Christmas decorations out for us to enjoy. Her house was always so beautiful and it felt like the official start to Christmas.

Now it feels like Thanksgiving is so close to Christmas that we don't get to celebrate Christmas enough. This year there is only 29 days until Christmas after Thanksgiving Day! That is going to go fast!

We always put up a Christmas tree, a nativity scene, stockings, and random Christmas decorations. I am not very crafty - but we always try to make something each year. Every year we make tons of cookies - more than we can eat and share. It is so much fun to share these memories with my kids.

When we were in Walmart there was a whole section of Hallmark Northpole items. There were so many items to help us make memories with our kids this year. And it doesn't matter that I'm not crafty! Of course I had to pick up a few items that we enjoyed this weekend.

Snow Now! Instant snow: just add water and a little magic ($4.88)

Since we live in Florida - our kids have never really played with snow. This was a lot of fun and we didn't have to get all bundled up for a little snow fun!

We love to bake cookies!  So we picked up Bake Like an Elf Baking Tools with recipe cards ($14.88). You can never have too many items to help bake cookies! It came with "elf" measuring tools: a boot (½ cup), a mitten (¼ cup) and jingle bell (1 teaspoon) and 5 recipe cards. What was really cute was that it had "elf" instructions. So it says a boot of sugar instead of ½ cup of sugar. My kids had a blast making cookies with these. They will be perfect for making cookies for Santa!

We also played with the Peppermint Ring Fling Game ($9.88) and the Magic snowball ($2.97 - Walmart promo price).  We had so much fun and everything was so affordable!  If you have noticed the adorable Christmas hat she has been wearing  - it is actually part of the Ring Fling game. Kids can find extra fun with everything!

Peppermint Ring Fling Game If you are looking for some fun ways to get ready for Christmas - you must find the Hallmark Northpole aisle at Walmart! You can find story books, A Santa communicator, Santa Goggles with map and activities, Sprinkles, cookie cutters, Giftable Mug , Nesting Bowls, and so many more items! It's really easy to find - just look for the giant banner that says Hallmark Northpole and you can find all these really cool items! You won't spend a fortune and you will create many memories with your kids!

  1. That is a very cute new line of products, but frankly we have enough going on with the EOTS to add in anything else at the moment.

  2. My son is obsessed with snow, and where we live it's hit or miss. I love that instant snow...fun without the bundled up kids. 🙂

  3. My youngest is already having me read his Hallmark books and asking about the North Pole Communicator we purchased last year. Jingle the Pup is our holiday favorite story!

  4. I want to bake like an elf! If elves use boots for measuring it's no wonder Santa wants other people's cookies.

  5. So cute and fun! My kids are obsessed with elves so they'd want to do this too! We do Elf on the Shelf. Ours is different though. He doesn't report bad behaviour to Santa, he is at our house to learn how to be a good little elf and my kids show him how to be good;)

  6. Lots of Christmas fun going in already at your house! I need to get some snow to change our Florida version (sand)
