DormTopper – Help Your Kids Sleep Better At College

DormTopper-Beloit-Home

My kids are always cracking up when I tell them about the “olden days” — you know, back when I was their age and we actually had to do things like rewind VHS tapes, lug around Walkmans, and sign off the Internet before we made a phone call.

You know what I’m talking about. C’mon, be honest 🙂

Seems like every time I see them playing on the iPad, I think, man, if I’d had one of those when I was a kid…

I came across this DormTopper mattress pad the other day and had the exact same reaction— I mean this thing puts the old “egg crate” or memory foam pad to SHAME. I instantly thought:

If only I had one of these when I was in college.

Well, for starters, I can guarantee I would have gotten better sleep— and probably better grades as a result! Because let’s face it: most dorm room mattresses are paper-thin, rock hard, and less than sanitary. Two thumbs WAY down. The DormTopper, on the other hand, combines luxurious materials like New Zealand wool, gel-infused memory foam, and hand-stitched quilting for a better, cooler night’s sleep no matter how crappy that basic dorm mattress is. Oh, and it’s made in America and sized just right for those awkward Twin XL mattresses that for some reason colleges love.

Sure beats the “olden days,” I say.

My kids aren’t quite heading off to college yet, but I figured I’d share it with you in case you’re looking for a back-to-school bedding solution that won’t break the bank.

They also have a cool eBook, From Zs to As. It uses modern sleep science to draw some shocking connections between sleep, academic performance, happiness, and overall physical health. They look at specific studies that show how even as little as one hour of lost sleep per night can negatively impact achievement. Check it out – you may learn something 🙂
