Slow Cooker Country Ribs Recipe

Come home to super tender and flavorful Slow Cooker Country Ribs with this fast and easy dinner recipe!

I love to make things in my slow cooker! It’s a great way to save time and money! When I meal plan – it keeps me from running to a fast food restaurant and feeding my family junk!

When I meal plan, I like to have a variety of recipes. I make my list to go to the grocery store so I have everything I need for the week. It also helps when my kids ask “what’s for dinner tonight?”

I will have crock pot meals, oven meals, super fast meals, and meals we can make on the grill. I like to put that list on the fridge and every morning I evaluate my day and plan dinner according to our busyness.

For example, on a night we have a mid-week soccer game, I would throw something in the slow cooker so when it’s dinner time – we can grab food as needed!

Did you know that some of my most popular posts when I started blogging were sharing about how easy it is to pop a freezer meal in the slow cooker! They are some of the easiest slow cooker recipes.

This boneless ribs recipe is a delicious recipe that you can throw together in the morning and it can cook all day! So if you are away from the house for 8 hours – this can cook while you work! There is nothing better than coming home to country-style ribs that slow cooked all day.

This recipe for country style pork ribs uses just a few ingredients you already have! Just mix a teaspoon of garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika in a small bowl to make an easy seasoning that will add so much flavor to the country ribs. You can also add a little chili powder if you like a little heat on your bbq ribs.

Then you can top with your favorite barbecue sauce.

Then you slow cook them for up to 8-10 hours on a low setting. Slow cooking makes these tender ribs fall apart. If you need them faster, the cooking time on high is 4-5 hours. They come out fork tender and your whole family will love this easy meal.

If you want you can place the cooked ribs on a cookie sheet and put them under the broiler for just a few minutes.

Serve these delicious ribs with your favorite sides like potato salad or pasta salad!

Country Style Ribs Recipe Tips

  • You can use boneless pork ribs or bone in pork ribs for this recipe. This is way better than spare ribs.
  • Mix the spices first to make the dry rub – it will give it more flavor.
  • I have not tried this in the instant pot – but I will say that do not like the slow cooker function on an instant pot.
  • I love a BBQ sauce that has a little brown sugar to make it a little sweet.
  • Grab a bag of frozen, diced onions in the freezer section – it’s so much easier!

The nutrition facts are a little crazy as stated here.

I think it will depend on the BBQ sauce you use since that can vary a lot by the brand. It's always best to add them to your favorite nutritional calculator.
