The Titanic Museum Branson Missouri needs to be a place to visit on your Branson vacation! There are so many things to do in Branson, Missouri so I hope some of my blog posts are helping you make the perfect itinerary.

I have always been interested in history and I learn so much more when I can see artifacts from history and hear the stories of actual people that lived through those events. I feel so much more knowledgable and in awe of the Titanic after visiting the Titanic Museum in Branson Missouri. 

Our group had a tour guide that took us through the ship. He explained about all the artifacts that were collected from the remains of the ship and he shared many stories from the people that survived and lost their lives on the Titanic.

As you walk through the museum you will find a replica of the ship. It was a massive ship – at 883 feet. It is almost as long as the Effiel Tower is high! It is full of more than 400 artifacts directly from the ship and its passengers.

The $1 Million exact replica of Titanic’s Grand Staircase is gorgeous! 

There was a photographer on the ship that got off the ship before it made its trip across the Atlantic Ocean so there is a room filled with photographs of people on the ship.

Dining on the ship was a full-time event and the place settings were beautiful. They have a collection of place settings for all classes of the passengers that were on the ship.

There was a huge difference in the price from the 3rd class passengers to the 1st class passengers. As you walk through the museum you can see what the rooms really looked like and where people slept and relaxed.

The stories of the passengers on The Titanic

There are so many names and pictures of passengers that were on the Titanic. Some were on it for a better life in the United States. Some people were on the ship for business and others were on it just to be on vacation. 

I really loved that I received a Boarding Pass of an actual Titanic passenger/crew member. At the end – there is a wall of the survivors and you can see if your person is on the list. 

There are stories about the musicians that played on the deck as the ship was sinking. It was a way to help keep the passengers calm in the midst of this terrifying time.

There was a story of a pastor named John Haper. He was on the ship on his way to preach in Chicago that was offered a place on a lifeboat but gave it up so he could tell other’s about Jesus as the ship was sinking. He knew he was going to Heaven – so he wanted to make sure someone else took his place. 

Harper ran person to person, passionately telling others about Christ. As the water began to submerge the “unsinkable” ship, Harper was heard shouting, “women, children, and the unsaved into the lifeboats.” Rebuffed by a certain man at the offer of salvation Harper gave him his own life vest, saying, “you need this more than I do.” Up until the last moment on the ship Harper pleaded with people to give their lives to Jesus.

What it felt like to be on the Titanic:

As you are nearing the end of the tour you will enter an area that feels like you are on the deck of the Titanic. You feel the cold breeze and the darkness of the night.

You can sit in a replica of a lifeboat or stand on a deck at different angles of the ship as it was sinking. 

There’s also a place with some water so you can feel just how cold that 28*  water was that night. Some people were in that water for hours until someone came to rescue them.
