Are you looking for a unique recipe for Valentine's Day? Check out this recipe for White Chocolate Cake Cookies With A Chocolate Heart. These are super cute to make for your kids, significant other, or your co-workers! They look so pretty and they are made with a cake mix!
Just add a few ingredients to your mixer and you will get these very tasty cookies. I love the sanding sugar. It almost looks like it is covered in glitter. The chocolate heart in the middle is the perfect touch. Or you could change it out for other pieces of candy like a Hershey Kiss, or a Dove Square.
You can even switch out the sugar to a colored sugar. These cookies would be gorgeous with a pink or red sugar coating.

This is also a fun cookie to make with your kids. My daughter loves to drop cookie balls into sugar and then add the chocolate heart to the top. It's a great way to spend time with your kids!

**UPDATE 2/8/20 - This recipe was a guest post. After a few comments that the recipe wasn't working, I decided to try it and see what happens. So below is the updated recipe. It's delicious and so simple! You will love how soft these cookies are!
This original recipe was made with an 18oz cake mix when many cake mixes are now just 15 oz. So if you only have a 15 oz cake mix - just add ¼ cup of flour.

looks yummy and looks cute a win win.
These would be cute also with pink sanding sugar!
How did you get the batter off of your hands? Should the dough be chilled or anything first before roll oh into a ball? Mine is all over right now.
I'm so sorry. They should be a little sticky but not too much. You could chill the dough for about 15 minutes and also spay a little cooking oil on your hands to help it to not stick.
I am so sorry that they didnt work out for you. I am going to make these cookies again soon to see if there was something wrong with the recipe and I will update it.
I made these cookies and I have figured out the issue. This recipe was a guest post and I am disappointed that it wasn't a great recipe. With these little updates - they will be delicious. I can't stop eating them!
