Easy Hibachi Shrimp Recipe

This Hibachi Shrimp recipe is so easy and delicious! Skip the expensive hibachi restaurant and make this at home! Double or triple the recipe to serve more!

I love shrimp and I love to go to Japanese steakhouse hibachi restaurants – but I do not like to pay the bill for this delicious and healthy meal! So I decided I would just throw together a few ingredients that I already have in my house and make this for lunch one day.

My family doesn’t like shrimp! So I usually only get to enjoy shrimp when we go out to restaurants. But since I didn’t want to keep spending so much at restaurants, I have started to pick up bags of frozen shrimp when they are on sale at Publix.

It’s so nice to cook a few and enjoy them with my dinner. Or just whip up some shrimp scampi over zucchini zoodles for lunch.

Another reason I love this meal is because it is a keto meal. It also works for Trim Healthy Mama, low carb, low fat, and low-calorie diets! Hibachi dinners are my favorite – they are always so flavorful and healthy!

This recipe makes enough for 2 people to enjoy this hibachi dinner (copycat) but you can always double or triple the meal if you are feeding more people. I can actually eat this entire recipe all by myself – that is how good it is!

Next time I am going to break out my electric griddle and triple the recipe to make a fun dinner with my family! The cooking method makes it feel like you are in the restaurant! I haven’t made this on a flat cooking surface but it works at the restaurants!

This recipe is also great because you can make adjustments based on your taste preferences.

  • Change out the olive oil for sesame oil
  • Add other fresh produce that you enjoy like mushrooms
  • Use small shrimp or large shrimp
  • Switch out the shrimp for thick cuts of steak. Or use chicken to turn this into an easy hibachi chicken recipe!
  • Switch out the soy sauce for teriyaki sauce to make it a little sweeter
  • Top off with some sesame seeds
  • Some people add a squirt of lemon juice to the pan when they cook the shrimp but I don’t think you need it!

The ingredients list is simple! And the cooking time is fast! This will quickly become your – favorite hibachi dinner! It’s a popular recipe in our house!

It’s so easy to chop up the sweet onions and zucchini and get it cooking. The cooking process is easy – just add the minced garlic cloves. Push all the veggies to the side and cook the shrimp. This meal is so simple and only uses 1 pan!

And don’t worry – you can easily make the homemade yum yum sauce you always have at Japanese restaurants at home. I have the best recipe for yum yum sauce (Japanese white sauce). To make this dipping sauce, you only need mayonnaise, tomato sauce, garlic powder, paprika, sugar, and water to make this yummy sauce to go with your shrimp dinner)! This is one of our favorite sauces!
